I’m a Registered Social Worker and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner living and working in the Yukon. I provide somatic trauma therapy for adults navigating complex trauma, PTSD, grief, anxiety, relational difficulties, and the lasting impacts of overwhelming experiences.
My work is deeply relational and grounded in the belief that healing happens within relationship—including our relationship with ourselves, our emotions, our bodies, our internal resources, and the people around us. Trauma can affect these relationships in profound ways, sometimes leaving us feeling disconnected from ourselves, overwhelmed by our emotions, unsure of our own resources, or struggling to feel safe and connected with others.
Somatic Experiencing® is at the center of my practice. I use a body-based approach to support deeper trauma processing, helping us gently explore what is happening in your nervous system and how past experiences may continue to shape your present experience. I also draw from attachment-based, relational, and trauma-focused approaches, adapting our work to your individual needs and capacity.
I believe that people are inherently resourced and carry their own strengths, wisdom, and capacity for healing. My role is not to tell you how to heal, but to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and respect as we explore what has happened, what you are carrying, and what may support a greater sense of connection, choice, and trust in yourself.
I have experience working with complex trauma, PTSD, traumatic loss and grief, anxiety, depression, addiction, sexual violence, family and relationship conflict, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and developmental and intergenerational trauma.
As a non-Indigenous settler living and working on the traditional territories of Yukon First Nations, I recognize that culturally safer practice requires ongoing learning, humility, and accountability. I remain committed to learning through relationships with Indigenous individuals, families, community members, and Elders, and to approaching this work with respect for each person’s lived experience, cultural context, and knowledge.
